Using All My Senses

Each Sunday for the last few weeks, I have been talking about coming back to our senses, all our senses, not just the traditional five of sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. In addition to these, we have the sixth sense that speaks of intuition, and we have all the ways that our body senses its environment, what time it is and others. The first five were purely physical, while others are physical/mental/emotional and spiritual.

Emotional intelligence has gained recognition over the last decade because we are finally aware of its impact upon us. Our emotions/feelings tell us what we need toward healing, creating balance, whether we need rest or activity and a myriad of other things we need to know to navigate life.

In the Christian Scriptures, the book of Mark 4:9, it reads, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.” Do we simply take that literally? No, listening for divine guidance and resonance is a spiritual faculty. Taken symbolically, the scripture’s deeper meaning is this:

“Whoever opens the heart, mind, and body to the wisdom of God will truly receive.”

“Whoever is willing to let go of old preconceived notions is open to receive higher wisdom.”

Do you want to have wisdom that goes beyond understanding? Do you want to be at peace of heart and mind?

We have been told the secret.

  1. Let go of/surrender preconceived notions and ideas.
  2. Open your heart and mind to receive higher guidance.
  3. Listen and feel the wisdom, love and peace flowing through you.

I hope you are opening your heart, mind and all your senses to the Divine now.

In reverence and peace, JudyV
