Creating a Life of Peace and Harmony

The last several weeks at our spiritual community, I have spoken about how to create our best life. Here are the steps.

  • Take full responsibility for your life. You are the sole Creator of your life. Accept that and quit making excuses and blaming others.
  • Take care of your physical body. Breathe, stretch, become flexible and feel healing in every cell.
  • There are unexpected and unwanted events/losses that take place. From your Soul’s perspective, these events teach huge lessons. It takes time to heal and see the lesson in the challenge. Give yourself Grace and time.
  • Upon awakening, you must be willing to look more clearly at the patterns that have created your lack of success or joy. Are you willing to change? Are you willing to see things differently?
  • To become our True Self, we must give up the charade, the masks of trying to please others or trying to appear more intelligent, more beautiful, more talented than others. Be your True Self and you and your talents will shine. Be Authentically You.
  • Accept the way things are. Acceptance brings Clarity.
  • Form the habit of positive (but realistic) thinking. See the positive in all things. That does not mean that we pretend certain things have not happened or exist. We look beyond the problem to the existence of the Power and Presence of God in all things that can and does create miracles.
  • We spend time in quiet to form the habit of recognizing true Intuition and Guidance. We recognize epiphanies. We follow the Inner Voice of Wisdom instead of the voice of ego.
  • We Stay the Course. With Faith and a Firm Foundation in the Unseen Power that exists everywhere, we remain steady in the storms of life. It takes time to build the type of faith that keeps you steady when things about you are going to heck in a handbasket (as my mother used to say). Remember that it takes time and willingness to develop this type of wisdom and resilience. We understand that our losses, sadness, and pain have given way to joy.

We remember who we are at this stage of life. We remember Who we came to represent. As a Course in Miracles says:

“I am here only to be truly helpful.
I am here to represent Him Who sent me.
I do not have to worry about what to say or what to do, because He Who sent me will direct me.
I am content to be wherever He wishes, knowing He goes there with me.
I will be healed as I let Him teach me to heal.”[i]

We interpret “He” as the Inner Voice that is part of the Higher Power. I pray that you will recognize that we are here only to be helpful. I pray that your life will be filled with joy. I pray peace on earth. Lovingly, RevJ
