A Light In The Window

Like everyone else, I am dismayed and disappointed by the actions that the Russians embarked upon this week. How could we not be saddened?  All of us who are peacekeepers, lightworkers, or simply refer to ourselves as people seeking fairness and peaceful living are hurt by what our fellow citizens of the Earth have decided upon.

How could it be that so many of us are striving for peace for all and others want to fall back on egoic power mongering?  Disappointed, yes. Are we going to give up? Absolutely not! Looking beyond the actions that are taking place, I choose to see with the eyes of the Creator who helps us know that if enough of us care, enough of us pray, enough of us speak out for peace and love and fairness, the perpetrator will be thwarted with his efforts to harm.

Yes, if enough of us will use this Holy Lenten Season that is beginning today to keep a light in the window as a symbol of our solidarity with those who are defending their rights to live in a free society, and not have their land and resources taken over by bullies. Let us stay in a state of prayer for those in the Ukraine, our brothers and sisters who are in harm’s way.

Place a light in your window as a constant reminder that we support and value the teachings of the One Who Came Before Us. Jesus said, “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”

Yes, place a light in your window as a reminder that “Peace begins with me.”

Lovingly always, Rev. J
