“Be a lamp, or a lifeboat, or a ladder… Walk out of your house like a shepherd.” Rumi
This quote by Rumi really speaks to my heart this morning. We can easily become discouraged when we look at challenges in the world that are so big that we wonder how we can help.
When I leave my house in the morning, I can be a shepherd for anyone who comes my way. I can radiate the light of God; I can certainly be a lamp. If necessary, I can come to the aid of another and become their lifeboat. I can encourage someone who is feeling down and give them a reason to continue their journey. In that way, I can be a ladder.
Then, powerfully, mindfully, prayerfully, as I embody my Christ Nature, I walk serenely and with confidence into the world as a shepherd.
A shepherd has love, patience and confidence and is not easily distracted by outer circumstances but remembers this:
I AM Here to represent the One who sent Me.
I AM Here to Radiate Love, Light, Peace, Harmony, and Joy.
Quietly and steadfastly,
I will walk out of my house like a shepherd today and every day. Amen. JudyV
